There is also an unwritten clause that says he needs to win. I'm sure we'll continue to take a chance here or there on recruits with grade issues, specially ones at a position of need.

What about Fennell?  You can infer from his HS coach that grades were an issue.  Unless WKU offers something academically that USF doesn't.

He does not get his bonuses if the APR drops below a certain amount. 

 

So if he wins the conference, bowl game, etc with an academically challenged class, no bonus
