He's considered Pasco/Tampa.... but he didn't have the grades to get into USF. That's why we stopped recruiting him.

But, he had the grades to get into a much better school academically?

 

Perhaps Rutgers having such a great APR to begin with can afford to bring in a few guys on the bottom borderline and it won't offset the numbers too much...and perhaps they feel they can do one of two scenarios:

 

1. Bring him in and get his grades up.

2. Bring him in, but he has to go to JC, and hope that afterwards he comes back to RU. (addition by subtraction and not allowing another school to get him)

unfortunately that has been the attitude  at usf for too long

 

apathy has set in  years ago and has never left

 

the lack of understanding and appreciation to dominate the tampa area in recruiting is missed on many fans like rizman----

Likely some combination of:

- too cold

- too close to home

- too many ugly women
