Shouldn't there be a trade off for the guaranteed attendance and the thought that an affordable evening might bring more people out? Go back to $5! I think if there was a guaranteed, significant spike in attendance just by lowering the parking $5, they would do it .... but that's not the case... and if that $5 is all that's keeping some people away from the games, they probably shouldn't be looking at discretionary spending like that to begin with.

We already have one of the lowest if not lowest prices in the country. Season Tickets started for what 99.00 a ticket? Thats 18 Home games for 99 Bucks. (Thats 5.50 per game). Throw in the 10 dollars for parking and its 15.50 per game total( game ticket and parking) . The price listed on the 99 season ticktes is 15.00 per game. So your getting a bargain. I know our FB tickets are one of the cheapest BCS conference tickets around as well. The school/ athletic dept needs to make money somewhere to keep us competitive. Look at the parking as a donation to improving the overall athletic program.

There is plenty of free or cheap parking spaces, it just requires a longer walk. Just look around at parking costs at other events, $10 seems to be in line ..... and for those Bulls fans out there who see this as a make or break fee .... then come out to more Soccer, Volleyball, Women's Basketball, Baseball and Softball .... all those sports offer free parking. And going from $5 to $10 is not going to break the bank. Like Trip said, if it does, you should probably revisit your budget or pack three more friends in the old '75 Monza and pry the $2.50 from your wallet. I don't believe, for one minute, that it is the price of parking that is keeping hundreds upon hundreds of people from going to games. Parking at the dome is a non-issue, and as pointed out above, there's free parking if you wanna walk.
