Going to my first Bucs game on Sunday with a friend who has never been there either. Supposed to be a sellout. How early do we need to get there to get a parking spot and get into the stadium for kickoff? Do the official lots fill up early? Any suggestions on where to park other than the official lots? Spots on the side street off of Himes? My friend can't walk long distances.

It depends if you're tailgating or not. Since it sounds like you're not, I would recommend following the signs- People offer parking up and down Himes Avenue. If you get there at least 2 hours in advance, try to park at Jesuit-the parking there is slightly expensive, but at least you get the benefit of a paved parking spot, whereas most of the parking is grass. The school also has a back gate which can allow you to short cut a little bit to Hillsborough Avenue after the game when the traffic is particularly bad.

I must have bad timing, but I've never arrived on time.

However, I typically park at the Florida Bank right across the street from stadium (across Himes).
