I don't understand how the crowd last night could be so hostile... it was basically friends and family night... I'd expect it to be like attending a middle school football game, where everyone just cheers every play or shouts "you'll get him next time little Jake".

Skip came here with great intentions. Things obviously didn't work out as planned. Wish our fans at the game would have show a little more respect/class (we're starting a green QB with little to no experience - what were you really expecting tonight). Holtz tried and failed. I hope he picks himself up and succeeds again when given another opportunity. I truly believe he cares about USF football. Thanks for trying Skip. Even well intentioned individuals fail from time to time. Tonight was a sad moment for USF football on national television. Hopefully we'll never experience this again.

I disagree with booing Floyd... he is a green QB... booing Holtz on the other hand is okay by me.

As best as I could tell, they were booing Skippypoo. Edited by Mission9

If you're talking about booing when Floyd came back into the game, I agree.

If you're talking about kicking a FG on 4th and goal, I disagree wholeheartedly.

Seemed most wanted Landi to play because he was a senior and the game/season was in the crapper. I would rather see Floyd do his OTJ training but understand the sentiment.

For the record, I don't think people were booing Floyd at all. It was cool to see Landi get that drive down the field and I think people wanted to see him punch it in. They were booing the coaching staff.

Last nights game was exactly what you just said.

The disgust continues. This was retweeted by AW

You wanna know how much of a coach killer Asiantii Woulard is? O'Brien and Holtz are fired, and he hasn't even signed an LOI yet.

How do we know people posting stuff on twitter are really USF fans. Anyone can make up a name and put USF in the name

i rewinded and watched twice. Landi came in and move the ball. When Floyd came back in and Landi left, they booed. Very clearly a good size group of people booed Floyd coming back in. No question whatsoever that they booed him.

That being said, they also booed Holtz at his decision to kick a FG with 10 minutes left. Teams have come back from more improbable odds before. They also booed holtz at end of game as he was leaving. These were the rough years. Now behind us.
