I know. This relies upon A LOT of assumptions (and probably will never happen), but if by some CRAZY chance we don't get poached again and can stablize, this might be what we'd look like:

Doesn't compare to any of the top five conferences. But, seems better than C-USA et al. to me. Thoughts?

Only way this would happen is if the Big East can impose some ludicrous buyout clause... like $100 million dollars or something. Apparently $50 million is not enough to keep the vultures away.

Also how would you turn this mess into 14 teams let alone 16 teams? Below is what I'd like to see happen but its anyone's guess... I think the Big East is done and we will either end up in a CUSA version 2, the Big12, or a ****** ACC.

All of those conferences would be painful to watch and pretty much cusa2.0. I can just see the excitement for USF vs Ohio haha

i know they seem to keep getting turned down, but you can't mention army and tulane as candidates without at least considering ECU, and possibly even Southern Miss.
