everything i've ever seen this "Plantation Pete" guy post is utterly retarded.

he hyperventilates more than Nancy Grace on Ritalin giving birth to octuplets at high altitude.

two coaches in and this clown is talking "graveyard" ?? c'mon son.

of those two coaches, only ONE was a bad hire (Holtz). the other (Jim) was perfect for the job, and wasn't even hired by Woolard.

BOTH coaches were given everything they could possibly need to succeed at USF.

BOTH coaches would have been/would be fired by more nationally prominent programs. better coaches at bigger programs have been fired for abusing authority the way CJL did, and better coaches at bigger programs have been fired for sucking as bad on the field as Skippy has.

there's no graveyard here, we just haven't found the right fit.

a graveyard would be a place where the AD/University refuses to upgrade facilities, provide budget for decent assistants, etc. or where successful coaches are shitcanned for no reason. that isn't USF, sorry.

Just so we're all clear about Pete. He is basically just a non-Bull troll trying to stir **** up, get under the skin of most Bulls fans because of the injustice he feels befell CJL at the hands of USF ... Try not to take him too seriously.<Memo to self>

USF is a great opportunity for a coach. It will be interesting to see what coach can come in an win us a conference title.

+1

we've bottomed out. We can only go up from here. so who ever comes in and at least gets us to .500, we'd be so appreciative of. how sad is that.

Maybe this Holtz fiasco is a blessing in disguise. I feel like when Holtz got hired, it was under some emergency circumstances (Leavitt choking a player, bad timing in terms of recruiting, right before signing day). This time around, we will be hiring a new coach under some obvious circumstances (losing football team), so maybe we can take our time in picking the right coach for this program. When holtz was hired, i felt like he was more of just the "best of what's around" type of hiring. remember, we hired him on January 14, which was after most of the other hirings in FBS

Nope... I still think USF is the ideal opportunity for an up-and-coming coach. Just not this coach.

Really?

Why would an up and coming coach choose USF over opportunities at real football schools in real football conferences?

Leavitt was NOT given enough money to hire great assistants. There is a big difference ($$) in USF's commitment to Jim vs Skip.

With Leavitt, USF expected it naturally. With Skip, we were willing to pay and we're being robbed.
