Watched the Skip Holtz Show. Typical Skip Coach talk.

But almost threw up in my mouth when they played the commerical where Skip says "Bulls Fans winning is in our tradition"

Skip that used to be the case than you were hired, Now losing is our tradition!!!

It's a shame to see our team go out there and compete well enough to win and then have it all undone by incompetent coaches in the last 2 minutes of a game.

The good news is if we lose the rest of our games we get the #1 pick for recruits coming into the Big Least...

.

Oh crap, it doesn't work that way Angry-Emoticon.gif

Let's not kid ourselves... it is the player performance that is leading us to question coaching. The team plays to one level against FSU, another against UL, and another against Temple/Ball Sate/Nevada. It is a coaches job to get the most out of his team, to make sure the team is ready to play each and every week. But at the end of the day a lot of it comes down to the players and team leadership.

Clock management was an issue. Initially kicking an extra point was a bonehead play. But there was nothing glarring in the last two minutes by coaches that would lead me to say they gave a game away. Cosh doesn't play linebacker, he isn't on the defensive line.

I can't believe the coaches took the field instead of the players the last 2 minutes of the game...

Bull ****... if the coaches had made the right play call earlier in the game and gone for the field goal then we most likely wouldn't have been in that position in the first place.

I agree with this. I am conservative. I would have taken the sure 3 points, but really can't fault Skip with thee decision. He had nothing to lose. He would have taken heat if he didn't go for it.

Joe, I don't think people would have been ******** if we didn't continue to lose the same way (well maybe they would) I think it is 9 times in the last 2 years.

Please. 4th and Goal on the 1 down a couple scores and looking feeble. If we hasn't gone for it fans would be saying the coaching staff has no balls.

Besides no one can say that was the play that made or broke the game. Putting the trust in the offense could have been what gave the offense that extra push in the 4th...

This is MMQ to the extreme right here. I wanted him to go for it. I never in a million years would have thought we would get gotten stopped every time. Not saying it was a make or break, but it did prove to be the difference.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
