They are boring in the stands and when halftime rolls around they ay a bunch of crap nobody has herd of. What happened to entertaining the crowd? They play music and march shows like they're going to a competition next week....its not high school any more. The hell they do.... it would be a good thing if they were acting like contest was next week. They're out of tune... out of step... don't have straight lines... dance too much to try to distract from the fact that they're just not that good and generally act and sound like a junior high band. You missed the point. There's a difference between competitive marching band and an entertaining marching band. The style the play is one of a competitive band, not of a jam band. PLAY SOMETHING!!! I'm not referring to when we are about to snap the ball, yes its best to stay quiet. But during a time out, dead ball, pause in action, its PATHETIC that I am sitting 2 sections away from the band section (138), and I can hear the FSU band start, and the fans becoming rowdy. But when I look over to HOT's section, they are just standing around. dogma, we are in the same section, what row are you in? I'm in no way supporting their music selection... just acknowledging that there are fundamentally bigger problems.

They add nothing to the game for 85% of the people who sit south of them. Classic USF>>>> what other university sets their band up so poorly? That is the biggest HOT fail of all. And HOT has no say in the matter.

Honestly, they'd get a better crowd response if they got in a block, parked and blasted tunes that people are familiar with. Nobody cares about the song from the opera hit "Carmen." Agreed... but that takes money because you have to pay to have the current stuff arraigned for the band. That's not HOT's fault... the money isn't there. For example, FSU played the theme from Game of Thrones last week against Clemson and it sounded amazing... That being said, one of two things happened. 1. FSU paid someone to create the arraignment for them. 2. They had a few of their masters level students do it.

It's a security thing. The four corners of the endzone are the only places with direct access to the field from the stands.

I don't disagree with you... but HOT's director made the original request to move the band... not the other way... and he had to ask 3 times before it happened.
