Problem lies with Wollard! How many bad hires and extension decisions has this guy made? McCollum, Holtz, Prado, extensions for all three of those guys without proven results. Cant speak of the lesser sports, but I am sure very similar. Even if he grows a pair and fires Holtz, I am not convinced he will make the right decision in our next coach. Judy will never fire Doug either.

Woolard can't fire Skip because it would be an admission he made a big mistake, first by ambushing CJL and then hiring Skip. His ego caused him to believe he could find a better and more dedicated football coach for USF than CJL. It was the one move that will define his entire (hopefully short) tenure at USF.

Judy can't fire Woolard because she was complicit with Woolard in the CJL Ambush.

The best way to kill a snake is to cut its head off.

No, it was much ado about nothing. You had a reporter with an agenda and an axe to grind mixed with some entitled players angry about their lack of playing time. Woolard just seized upon the opportunity and hired USF's chief hatchet man, Gonzales to orchestrate the ambush.

Woolard had patience with Heath and it turned out well.

Easy to see that he is going to stick with Coach Holtz.

Please, not this again... we used to have an entire board dedicated to this. Read the public letter Judy sent to Coach Leavit indicating the reason for his termination. In the mind of USF administration, it had more to do wtih a lack of openess and honesty with the investigation. Of course Leavitt supporters think we just wanted a cheap way to move forward with a better/different coach. Either way, water under the bridge.

So if another USF fan has a different viewpoint, you brand them a non-fan?

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
