I'm looking forward to the kind of exposure 98.7 the Fan is going to bring to USF athletics. Tampa needs to fully adopt USF as its hometown university.

I agree. Although, I haven't heard any USF talk since the station started. Must be tuning in at the wrong times...

The mid day show is really the only show with any USF talk... the other shows just don't have the knowledge level on the host side to discuss USF.

For example... in the am slot you have an ex hockey player who really hasn't done anything else and a radio guy they brought in from Baltimore.

On 98.7, I have heard USF talk/interviews on the Commish's show(10am-2pm) and on Rich Herrera's show(6pm-10pm). I would have thought Todd Wright and Booger McFarland would talk college football but they never do. I really miss JP Peterson and Drake in the 2pm-6pm slot.

We need folks to call up and talk USF sports, as well. But I agree with Phanatic, more talk will likely kick in once the season starts.

He is right. If the locals listening start calling in and talking about USF, perhaps others will as well.
