USF tickets are cheap. USF fans are lucky. Student section at Texas A&M is 30,000 students and season football pass for entry into all of the home games is $200 for students. I paid this last year but am not this year because fees are busting my grad student budget. Ticket distribution is by seniority based on class and freshman get last pick and stuck in the top 300 level. To get season tickets as a non student you have to donate I think $1,000 to the 12th man foundation.

USF has it really good and ticket prices are really cheap.

Does aTm still have the one guy that's on the team only for kick coverage?

I am not sure what you are referring to so I can't answer that.

12th man is the crowd. Long time ago team suffered lots of injuries and a guy came from out of the stands during the game and put on pads ready to play if needed. He never entered the game but was the last one on the sideline when the game ended. That is the original 12th man but 12th man now is generally considered a reference to the fans.

I guess I am a bad aggie (what they would call a 2%er around here) if I don't know the intricate details of every tradition. I didn't read your full link. There are so many traditions here it is hard to keep track of them all. I'm definitely a bull first and aggie second but I love both universities. I wear my USF shirt and hoodie around campus and have been stopped twice from random students because of it. I've seen two or three other students in USF shirts too. The USF brand is definitely growing, let's hope to keep it with a second win over FSU.

Back on topic, I may look into the cost of attending this FSU game. I would rather attend one bulls home game than all of the aggie games, I just get a lot more excited the bulls and Raymond James is a lot more pleasant. My opinion of Kyle Feild stadium is that it is a **** hole (and quite literally because of the bat colony, it smells bad too). I can tell you many fans crying for an OCS take the quality of Raymond James for granted.

HOF post in my opinion....

FSU at USF: Hot ticket!

Posted Aug 11, 2012 by Joey Johnston

The University of South Florida’s Sept. 29 home game against the Florida State Seminoles continues to be the hottest ticket in the 16-season history of USF football.

Hint: If you don’t have a USF season ticket, you might be out.

Bill McGillis, USF’s executive associate athletic director, said it’s possible that single-game tickets for USF-FSU may never be available. The demand is that great.

Fans who renewed their season tickets by last spring have until Monday to determine whether they want to purchase up to four additional tickets for the FSU game. McGillis said he doesn’t think the lower-bowl seating will be available to non-season-ticket holders.

Here’s how it breaks down for seating at Raymond James Stadium. Tickets will go to USF students (12,500), FSU’s allotment (10,500), season-ticket holders (nearing 23,000, McGillis said) and the additional tickets purchased by USF’s holdover season-ticket holders (potentially 10,000 or slightly more). That already makes for a snug fit in 65,000-seat Raymond James Stadium (although the Bulls listed 67,012 as attendance for its 2007 game against West Virginia).

It’s unknown how many FSU fans will be in the house, although McGillis is confident that it will be a “largely green-and-gold atmosphere.’’ Nothing prevents FSU fans from purchasing USF season tickets just to secure a seat to the Sept. 29 game. The secondary ticket market for USF-FSU is bound to be especially active.

Season tickets are available at the Sunday, Aug. 19 Fan Fest/Select-A-Seat event at Raymond James Stadium. It begins at 2 p.m. Fans can sample the available seating.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”
