Suppose to be in today for his official visit. Needless to say that this is extremely important for USF to make their best impression on Henry after his great visit to South Carolina and before his Miami visit. Now that the Hurricanes are done with the NCAAT, Henry's recruitment should wrap up faster.

I still wonder is there something to the fact that John Egbunu suddenly transfers to the same school Demetrius Henry attends. I know Henry has a lot of respect for John's game.

I hope it does mean something. Classes like this, hopefully with Henry, build depth. I keep hearing with Austin we would have been better, but that's not it. With depth we would have been better. Egbunu and Henry together would be ideal. Pair them with Perry and Ziegler (better than most realize) and you have nice pieces to add both talent and depth. LeDay is most likely never going to be a stud, but can be solid (good length and hustle) and Hawkins hopefully will develop (talented, but in my opinion needs work and a faster tempo to succeed) and you have 6 underclassmen that should contribute - building DEPTH. A class or two like this could energize a fan base that is dying for competitive. Depth helps you not have an NCAA season then a sub 500 team when you only lose a few pieces.

Stan please close this kid. It's last call and we're one "piece" short tonight (for this class). Pull out all the stops and take this one home. GO BULLS!

Greg Auman just tweeted that he's deciding on April 24th, after visiting with Miami (April 13th-14th) and USF (April 20th-21st).

This is good news. Interesting that Henry was willing to move his visit date back to accommodate USF. I'm starting to think Will Smith might be right, we'll see

Hawkins is transferring. No link because nothing is official, but that is straight from Javontes mouth, and confirmed by another player on the team that I am friends with.

That explains Perry getting his jersey number and us going after Henry without having an available scholarship.

Looks like USF might be going after more players then just Henry, but we will see. IF THIS IS TRUE, I will be somewhat surprised even though Hawkins badly regressed the last month of the season, while fellow freshman Zach LeDay got better. Still I would think Musa and Omogbehin would be candidates for transferring(they should) before Hawkins. If Hawkins can't beat out Brock and Noriega then he's simply tries to get by with talent and no work ethic.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”
