Hard to get the players to buy into the program and play for the name on the front of the Jersey(not the back) when the Head Coach is busy playing golf out in Nevada during such a huge event at the school. Yes Skip deserves time off, but you dont take off when you have High school athletes coming from all over , ESP when its football players. You stay and put the program first. MAJOR FAIL SKIPPy!!!!!! Did that not happen?
TikiBull Posted July 22, 2012 Group: Member Topic Count: 12 Content Count: 356 Reputation: 1 Days Won: 0 Joined: 09/26/2005 Share Posted July 22, 2012 They found a good loophole...the event kicked off yesterday with a pre-tournament talk for the coaches and players by some usf staff members (minus Skip, of course)...that allowed them to call it a clinic and not a tournament...plus, at 500.00 per team (x 48 teams) a tidy piece of change for the athletic coffers (hey, those celebrity golf tourneys ain't cheap, you know!)
