Since diagnosed with Type II diabetes, I have had quarterly Dr visits and blood tests. Actually did lab work the week before my heart attack and had my Dr appt the day after my attack.

I don't think they regularly check for the enzyme. They did find the enzyme the night I went to the ER. My cholesterol has always been good, 140. I have family history along with not exercising enough.

I don't smoke which is Very Important! Now I have changed my diet, especially since I am diabetic(didn't take it too serious until now). Other thing is regular exercise.

Mike is spot on regarding what causes heart disease.

Go BULLS !!!

ET I hope you are taking a statin and ACE inhibitor such as lisinopril. I am sure you are on aspirin and plavix

Yes, and taking Metoprolol and Lipitor(cholesterol) along with what you listed.

Seems biggest part of recovery is getting use to the meds. My blood pressure and pulse is low. Getting my heart time to recover. Very light headed.

Go BULLS !!!

ET - have you tried taking lisinopril at night? May feel better during the day. Your metoprolol might need to be decreased especially if pulse in 40's or low 50's
