I think Memphis definitely makes sense. I don't think it's a bad idea to have a bowl or 2 out west.

I think the Poinsettia Bowl will be the BE crown Jewel. Our Conference Champion will probably play there against the WAC champion.

If we have to go out west for a bowl game - it better be the Fiesta. Just sayin.

Sadly, even with an improbable invite to the Fiesta Bowl, I just don't see our fan base travelling.

I'd go.

Brad and Terry would be there too.

That's three...

Soap Box Alert:

My issue is that we have zero regional rivalries that we can play a consistent conference schedule with. I am happy we got into the Big East, but why the hell are we flying up north and out west? Would be nice to have a reasonable travel schedule with fun Bowl Cities that are football towns...

Any deals done now will be short term. Haw makes no sense to me, It would be perfect for MWC/CUSA match up. A tex bowl, and the one in SD do make sense.

1 Texas Bowl

1 Cali bowl (made more for teams west of the mississippi river

That makes sense to me, but the BE is a dismal looking conference now with no current upside...... We now look like the bastard child if CUSA and MWC hooked up one drunken night.... I doubt we get any decent bowl games moving forward as you will start to see the power conferences gobbling them up....

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”

Act like you’ve been there before. Turns out, for many of us, we haven’t been there before.
