I have to give a hats off to Golati. I thought she did a great job and really gave it to our hitters. Thankfully she got tired and we started to hit the ball well at the end of the 2nd game and 3rd game.

I wonder how she fares vs the pitcher we will face against Oklahoma?

The Oklahoma pitcher made the cut of final three for best softball player of the year. I'd have to give her the edge over both Nevins and Golati.

If we beat Oklahoma, we will likely face another softball player of the year finalist on the Cal team.

If we lose and play LSU, thir pitcher is the current ERA leader.

So basically we have a tough row to hoe pretty much the whole way through. No one should expect less when it come to the WCWS.

A lot of people (mostly on the national scene) are saying we have no chance since we have no offense, but then again how many teams had to go thru UCF, Florida, and Hofstra to get to the WCWS. We faced 3 of the top 10 pitchers to get to OKC, and will likely face 2 or 3 of the top 5 pitchers once we get there.

I'm not saying we're gonna win it, but seeing this makes me feel more confident since we have seen some of the best pitchers in the country already and still won.

Side note: When will athletics get around to getting the NCAA and ESPN to stop with the South Fla.? It's USF

Every team has a, "tough row to hoe". Oklahoma may be facing the best pitcher they've gone against all year.

Yeah, and Oklahoma may be facing the best pitcher they've seen all year ...

In all seriousness, you are correct, but the offensive #s highly favor Oklahoma in this one. I think I saw going into the super regionals that our defensive numbers were like .968, which is incredible. We'll need to depend on that for sure, and hopefully we can make some things happen early in the game offensively.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
