It's double-elimination till the final game.

So if we beat UConn twice tomorrow (eliminating them), we would only need to beat Notre Dame or St Johns once in a winner take all championship game on Sunday.

It's one of the biggest problems with the Big East tournament that a one-loss team can beat an undefeated team and still be the champion.

Don't really have a problem with it. The teams are separated into two brackets and never cross over to the other bracket. The winner of one bracket plays the winner of the other bracket in the championship game. Seems reasonable to me.

Personally the ACC has the best tournament setup. They take 2 mini-divisions of 4 (essentially what we have) and play round robin. All teams are guaranteed 3 games (rather than the minimum of 2 in double elimination) and the team in each mini-division with the best record moves on the the championship final.

I love the ACC format.

Don't see a problem at all. It means you'd have two one-loss teams and the champion won the head-to-head.

But it's double-elimination. Like today, USF is playing UConn again. We lost the h2h, so logically shouldn't UConn automatically advance.

I just think it should be double elimination the whole way or they make the championship a best of 3 series. Or better yet, just go to the ACC format.

St Johns just beat Notre Dame 2-1.

Notre Dame is eliminated.

Our game will start in about an hour (1:15-ish)

Game 2 will be at 6:30pm

Is the video feed on bigeast.org incredibly choppy for anyone else, or is it just me? Does anyone know of an alternate stream for the game?
