I love the fact that he is a very good defensive player, in addition to being a very good scorer. We need to continue to play a ferocious defense. If we can do that, we should be able to do even better this coming season, having more offensive firepower.

I get giddy when watching our defense. They made some good teams look terrible last season.

It's gonna be tough replacing what Hugh / Ron / and Gus brought defensively... but we just might be able to do it. Our athleticism top to bottom is going to be phenomenal, and other than AC, all really good size.

It just depends on whether the new guys buy-in to the system and how well they can adjust to each other. Clearly, we should be stronger in the paint, rebounding and blocking shots, with OMOG and Austin.

Who is going to be the lock down defender that you need to have. Rudd could be that guy... he has the size and length and athleticism and did take that roll when Hugh was on the bench, but it is good to have a couple guys that you can trust in that roll. I'm hoping Hawkins has more than offense in his arsenal.

I'm not expecting a whole lot of Omo this first year but Austin needs to come in and pick up where RAJr left off ...

OMOG has been in the system a year, even though he was recovering from injury, so he has had a`chance to learn the system and practice with the players. He is now RIPPED and took up boxing. I think he will be a much bigger asset immediately on defense than most people expect.
