A PRO STYLE WOULD  get better football players to usf

7 of the last 10 national champions have run some kind of variation of the spread offense.....

I would not agree with that 100% Bull Dozer

  • Miami (Florida) (Big East) - Pro Style
  • Ohio State (Big 10) - Pro Style
  • LSU (SEC) - Pro Stlyle
  • USC(Vacated) (Pac-10) - Pro Style
  • Texas (Big 12) - Spread
  • Florida (SEC) - Spread
  •   LSU (SEC) - Spread
  • Florida (SEC) - Spread
  • Alabama (SEC) - Pro Style
  • Auburn (SEC) - Spread

You have LSU as a pro style and they were a spread offense and I had a typo it was supposed to be 6.

Also to further the point in the last 10 national title games 12 of the 20 teams playing in those games were running some kind of a variation of the spread.

Coach Bull Dozer,

I'm pretty sure that the first LSU team was Nick Satan's squad and that they ran a pro stylish set, but I get your point.

I do think in this league with our players we have a better shot to get to the MNCG in a pro style set. We might get crushed when we get in there, but..........

We have 1.5 WR (Griffin and everyone else), 2 good running backs, 2 TEs.

Or maybe a wishbone ???

On this board, I have forever favored a power run game and play action passing, pro style offense.  But the current Fitch spread isn't too bad.  It's much better than the Canales playground spread.  I'd like to see more use of the tight ends though.

The biggest problem I see is that we have yet to assume an offensive identity.  I would have used the first 4 games to pile up the stats for Daryl Scott and let the world know that we want to run the ball.  Make him a threat the defenses fear.  Then go over the top with play action.  The passing game and big plays will open up.

My favorite offense is the pound pound pound, and just when you think we will pound some more play action over the top. Love it.

Enjoyed that Bucs game last night because if that.
