From what I understand it will be between the track stadium and the LRS Athletic Center.

that actually makes sense if you are talking about where the soccer training fields are, it's plausible

With the fields they just built, I highly doubt it will be happening soon

...I added the text/box on the image to help those who may not recognize the map location.

where did you get this map from?  Could you post all of it or provide a link to it?  Haven't seen one as updated as that yet... especially with 2 parking garages by the Sun Dome

keep in mind that the Victor's club donation is 100% athletics directed, at $1,200 a year per member. if you have a 1000 members that's already half the battle

The location is infact where it's being shown on the map.... and they hope to start construction within 3 years. It won't take long at all to build, nor will it be that expensive.

I would think the area just north of the athletics building would be best. These things don't take up much space and are in fact, a glorified pole barn/metal structure, they're quite simplistic. There may be a set of restrooms, some water fountains, a couple equipment closets, and maybe one office/multipurpose room for coaches to have a conference or something, but other than that, probably nothing. Maybe some catwalks along the 2nd story level of the sideline walls for camera crew to film practices and such.

Would definitely be a nice unit to have, obviously the weather in FL can be erratic year-round. Could be used for:

football

soccer

track

baseball/softball

and other sports for doing sprints/running

Technically, it could be made larger with an indoor track, but I don't think there would be adequate room for spectator seating - in that case, it would have to be A LOT larger.

Plus, you could have the Bucs practices in there from time to time, as well as John Gruden's fun little QB camps and such. Another good marketing tool to have when we have "U"'s and logos plastered all over it.

Why?? Do you realize how much practice time the team loses/has to reschedule due to lightning?

Here are some of the indoor facilities our peers have...  I like the interior of the UConn one... both the Rutgers and Cincy ones inflate I believe
