Some people will cite sources like US News and Princeton Review when talking about it on the Internet, but those sources are really pretty meaningless. There are certain foundations (i.e. Carnegie Foundation) that mean a lot though, and measurables such as endowment numbers, and memberships such as AAU. Link anyone? Not much we can do in the budget crisis. One of the bigggest factors is faculty to student ratio. Ours has been going from bad to worse. Meanwhile, the State pumps enough money into UF and FSU to maintain their good ratio.Otherwise, we are doing quite well, with the exception of graduation rate. I hope that's the case. our reputation for undergrads is not helping but if they truly are interested in research than we are a very good fit.
