Haven't been on this board in a while, but last year I remember a lot of people saying that we needed to land Josh Grady because he would be a good influence on other recruits coming to USF. 

I know that didn't work out so well.  Coaches were honest with the kid that we wanted him as a safety, but he wanted to play QB. 

Who is the guy that we need to get THIS year that would possibly help get more recruits here, if there is anyone?

Not sure. He wasnt wanted as much for his abilities, and we didnt want him at his preferred position. Right now we have much more talented players. Grady situation was pretty unique.

LOL.  I remember everyone (including myself) getting annoyed at how much the kid took to Twitter/FB about the whole process last year.

The Grady situation was more about his intangibles and connections to talented players around the bay area than his abilities on the field.  I don't think there is a player like that in the bay area this year.  Also don't be surprised if a couple of talented kids at Armwood end up at Vandy because of Grady....
