The Arena is awesome if you haven't been yet

The new Amway Arena is very nice looking from the outside ... drove by it on New Years.  What are they going to do with the old arena?

The new Amway Arena is very nice looking from the outside ... drove by it on New Years.  What are they going to do with the old arena?

the inside is top notch. all the menus digitized, kids areas w/ touch screen computer games, tons of bar and entertainment areas all over the arena. There is this terrace balcony bar that has a red velvet rope look and a new rooftop bar also. Most national media say it's the nicest arena in the NBA now, has that VIP feel. The best part is you can park anywhere in Downtown Orlando and walk through all the restaurants and nightlife before and after a game. Definitely recommend going to a few games

I heard the old arena is getting torn down soon and they are attempting to build a Creative Village for Tech Companies, rendering below

The Lakers were plenty up for the game and if not for Carter tanking during that playoff run and the team going absolutely COLD from 3 point land it was theirs for the taking.  Howard also had a lot more flaws in his game that he seems to have perfected.  He put on a clinic for post moves in that game and LA had no answers.

listening to national media is so bad when it comes to Lakers bias, especially ESPN's Wilbon who even admitted to hanging out with Lakers players. The Lakers could lose 10 straight games and the media will still stay they'll the press the Go button when the playoffs start and have no problem getting 3 in a row. And add to that Chris Broussard who just makes stuff up to fuel fire on free agent rumors. I do enjoy Barkley and the TNT guys, they don't seem to play favorites

Magic didn't look so good last night. Sacramento is a tough loss to swallow for anybody.

That was a total lack of effort loss when you let a team like that score over 100.  Howard wasn't to blame though.  The NBA's playoff structure is such that it makes the regular season meaningless and a mere formality for the better teams.  As long as they get in, it doesn't really matter where as they all have to beat eachother eventually anyway. 

Whether the Magic are the #1 or #8 seed their success comes down to one simple thing...do they hit their shots from 3?  If they are hot from 3, no one will beat them.  If they're cold, they'll lose to anyone that is in the playoffs.  One thing you don't have to worry about is defense when the playoffs start.  that's a young team so they'll dial it up in that respect and they have a deep enough bench to get the defensive effort out of someone...
