That Iliana chick has made all sorts of claims, including a few months ago when UCF was allegedly invited already. Better to listen to unbiased sources

if she's unbiased, why would she say the BE might not take anybody?

They've already agreed to go to ten teams.

in football....they never mentioned going past 16 in basketball....so I'm sure they're has to be some discussion about whether or not to add more BB teams

They already have with the addition of TCU.

I don't think they want to go higher than that.

Scheduling is a detail, and can be fixed.

IMO, they will keep adding teams as long as they bring more money >and< more subscribers for the future BENetwork

It's not as easy as you think on the scheduling front.

As mentioned before, the BE Network can launch without adding any more outside programs. Why do you think the league is making such a big push for Villanova?

I never said it would be easy - most valuable things are not - but it can be fixed.

It's all about marginal revenue vs. marginal cost - as long as the conference value is increased by adding another school, they will do so. And a good chunk of the future value of the conference is in the network.

This is why we won't add Kansas, K-State, and Mizzou. The marginal benefits won't cover the costs, IMO. Strange as it sounds, someone like San Diego State would make more sense, at least in terms of network eyeballs.
