Well, it depends on what method we are rating it by.

If we are just rating our team like you might see on Madden, it would be something like B-.  We're pretty much a middle-of-the-road BCS team.  However, if we are rating it compared to our circumstances (young team, new coach, etc.), then I would say an A-. We did a lot of very good things compared to our expectations heading into (and that were upheld in the beginning of) the season.  We had a few more opportunities we could have hit, and we had a few disappointments, but still very acceptable.

Offense - D C

Defense - A

Special Teams - B+ B

Overall - B

I expected at least this record, and would have with CJL, too (and I think he'd have done at least as well, probably better as he'd have gotten more out of BJ and our offense)  But mid-way, I feared much worse.  Overall, a B with high expectations for next year. Need to keep the coaching staff intact.

B+

I said before the season that I would be happy with 7-5 and a bowl game.  Not only did we get that but we got a bowl WIN over a BCS team PLUS a win over Miami.

I would've put an A up top but we did not beat Florida.  There is no reason why we shouldn't have beat Florida this year.  Actually, our QB becoming an INT machine is that reason, but I digress...

Well, my first post here.

Overall a B+ considering the transition from the previous coaching staff.  I think some of those losses would not have happened if the current regime had been around longer and knew the team and players better.  So I think next year should be a good one.

This.

And moving forward, things have never looked or felt better.

I gotta say B+ overall

I figured a 6-6 season or 7-5 at best before the season. Seeing how well we improved throughout the season also helped.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
