USF will travel to Tallahassee, Fla., to take on Auburn in the first round on Friday, Nov. 12.The game time has not been announced yet by host Florida State.The meeting between the Bulls and Tigers will mark the first between the two schools. USF 1-5-1 against members of the Southeastern Conference.With a record of 13-5-3 on the season, USF, who is two wins shy of tying the school's highest mark for wins in a season of 15 set in 1998, are in the midst of arguably the most successful season in program history. The 13 wins mark the second most in single season by the Bulls.The BIG EAST runner up marks the best finish in the conference since joining in 2005.Auburn comes into the tournament with a record of 11-7-2 after bowing out of the first round of the Southeastern Conference Tournament with a 2-1 loss to Georgia. The Tigers won the SEC Western Division Championship during the regular season.USF is one of six teams from the BIG EAST Conference to make the field of 64. Three BIG EAST schools will serve as host sites for the First and Second Rounds: Notre Dame, Marquette and West Virginia while Connecticut and Georgetown round out the BIG EAST contingency.USF joins Florida, Florida State and UCF as other teams from the Sunshine State to be selected. In total, five opponents from the Bulls' 2010 schedule heard their names called as well.The other two teams in the Region are host Florida State and Middle Tennessee.The 29th annual NCAA Women's College Cup will be played December 3 and 5 at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C. North Carolina State University, Town of Cary and Capital Area Soccer League will serve as hosts. National Semifinal No. 1 will be played at 4 p.m. Eastern while National Semifinal No. 2 will begin at approximately 6:30 p.m. Eastern. On Friday, Dec. 3, both semifinals will receive live national television coverage as one semifinal will be broadcast or simulcast on ESPN2/ESPNU/ESPN3.com while the other semifinal will air exclusively on ESPNU. The NCAA Women's College Cup national semifinals television coverage will be determined after the quarterfinals have been played. Who would've thought that out of all the sports, USF has become a fixture in soccer...with our international ties, it probably will only get better after this consistent success with the two great coaches we have if we can keep them.
