Dowling got kicked off UF's team for violating team rules.

According to ESPN he was considering USF...

Looking at our S roster and assuming he didnt do something horrific to get the boot...would USF want the #1 S from 2010 with this "kick off team" stigma on him if he wanted to come to us?

37  Cliett, Reshard S 6-2 196 Fr. Thomasville, GA (Thomas Country Central HS)

30  Jenkins, JaQuez S 6-2 191 RFr. St. Petersburg, FL (Lakewood HS)

26  Joyce, Mark S 5-10 191 Fr. Deland, FL (Deland HS)

24  Lane, Chris S 5-8 204 Sr. Miami, FL (Everglades HS)

35  Mihalakos, Thanasi "Saki" S 5-11 185 RJr. Jacksonville, FL (Terry Parker HS)

16  Raymond, Mistral S 6-2 192 Sr. Palmetto, FL (Ellsworth CC) (Palmetto HS)        <---isnt he moved to CB?

1  Young, Jerrell S 6-1 205 Jr. St. Petersburg, FL (Gibbs HS)

What would be the rules as far as he being able to play for another team? does he have to sit a year?

Here's our 2011 class of Safetys

Safety is a pretty strong position for USF. Talked to Rick Smith today, and he's very optimistics about Mark Joyce and JaQuez Jenkins ...

I'd wait to see what he was kicked off for.  UF tends to give plenty of chances so I doubt this was a minor offense.

If you get kicked off of UF of all teams....you must have done something very very wrong

the kid is an immense talent.  Lets see what he did and then start to speculate.  This game is about depth a lot of times and the more talented kids like him you have, the better.  Especially exceptional athletes.

Once again, lets see what he did first.

Can't have enough of great talent.  However, Oscar Myers usually has in his contracts that players can not got to "in-state" (meaning FSU, UM and USF) schools.  Popek came over though.  Just depends on how he was released.

I think you mean Trent Pupello the TE not Mark Popek the OL.  Pupello then got kicked off the team for the alleged pistol-whipping incident.
