dunno if u guys saw this "Detroit Lions linebacker Zack Follett was also carted off the field after being hit hard on a kick return in Sunday's game against the New York Giants.

The Giants' Jason Pierre-Paul delivered a helmet-to-helmet hit and Follett dropped to the ground. Play was halted as Follett lay on the turf and players from each team took a knee."

Hope Follett comes through OK, you always hate to see someone motionless on the field...

Lions’ Follett injured on kickoff; Hill breaks arm

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP)—Detroit Lions linebacker Zack Follett(notes) was hospitalized after a violent helmet-to-helmet hit with a Giants player while covering a fourth-quarter kickoff return.

The Lions said Follett was conscious and has full movement in his limbs. He will stay in Hackensack University Medical Center on Sunday night for observation.

Detroit also lost starting quarterback Shaun Hill(notes) in the 28-20 loss to the New York Giants. He broke his left arm late in the first half and spent part of the second half on the sideline with his arm in a sling.

Follett’s injury was scary. He lay on the field for about five minutes while attended by medical personnel from both teams. A backboard was placed under his back, he was placed on a stretcher and carted off the field and taken to Hackensack University Medical Center.

“No evidence at this point of a fracture of the cervical spine,†the Lions said in a statement issued about an hour after the game. “Zack has movement in all four extremities. He will remain here tonight and will continue to undergo extensive tests and evaluation.â€

Players on both teams took a knee after the play, which happened in roughly the same spot where Rutgers defensive tackle Eric LeGrand suffered a spinal cord injury in a game against Army on Saturday.

Follett made head to head contact with Jason Pierre-Paul on the play on which he was injured.

“I knew right away he was hurt,†Pierre-Paul said.

Hill was hit by Giants defensive tackle Barry Cofield(notes) on an incomplete pass to Kevin Smith(notes). He immediately left the field and was replaced by Drew Stanton(notes), who started the second half.

“Shaun Hill has a fracture in his forearm, his non-throwing arm,†Schwartz said. “He wanted to go back in but he had a hard time, no matter how we splinted it, trying to take a snap.â€

The Lions almost needed No. 3 quarterback Matthew Stafford(notes) late in the game when Stanton was dinged. Stafford jogged on the field, but Stanton motioned that he was OK.

I don't like cheering for my Fantasy Football receiver Randy Moss when Mike Jenkins is on him.

I have Randy Moss and Roy Williams both starting lol.

I had Roy Williams on the bench today...  :Duh

That sucks lol. I added him 3 weeks ago and started him the past two weeks. I should have played Joesph Addai but had him on the bench due to injury concerns so im missing out on 16 points. Im actually losing atm 79-74 but have Nate Washington and Mercedes Lewis left to play in tomorrow's game.

Maclin....29 pts this week. Cha ching!

As for criticism, I think he led the team in unsportsmanlike conducts. You've overestimated the impact of TBP. I'm sure most players don't care what we're saying.

JPP cleared, Follett hopes to make full recovery

NFL OK with JPP's block on Follett

Jason Pierre-Paul’s block that knocked Detroit linebacker Zack Follett out of the game was ruled a legal block by the NFL.

The league did not fine Pierre-Paul, who had to lower himself when he went to block Follett on a return. Pierre-Paul’s helmet appeared to hit Follett’s helmet in a frightening collision that happened very fast.

The rookie defensive end, who has become a special teams standout for the Giants, was not trying to intentionally hurt Follett nor did he launch himself into Follett. The Detroit linebacker was taken off the field on a stretcher and transported to a hospital.

Follett regained motion in his arms and legs and is expected to make a full recovery. Pierre-Paul suffered no side effects from the collision.

Roy was probably my best pick up so far off of waivers.  I've got a lot of shaky recievers and he's been consistent ever since I picked him up.
