Lets say Skip doesn't want to change the system.  He wants a pocket passer and he wants one now.  Who should he choose?

I say Gunsby.  But, I also haven't ever seen him play.

The backup QB is usually the most popular guy in town...

Why would you put in two, unproven, true freshmen?

If they were better than Daniels, they would have beat him out in Vero, or they would have beat him out in practice.

the notes from Vero showed Gunsby performing better than BJ

I dont think Skip would unseat the starting QB, in training camp.  He was new to the program and wouldnt want to risk losing the team before he even got started.  At this point though, no one on the team would disagree with the move.

I wouldve liked to keep Gunsby redshirted, but not if he can help us win games.  We cant risk a horrible season for his redshirt.  If it means Holtz needs to recruit more QBs in the next few years so be it.

You can't keep throwing a QB out there that is throwing 2-3 picks a game with out any TDs to balance it out.  Something needs to happen.

Good point... I think we have a good shot to land him...

Regarding Gunsby or Eveld, I say remove the red shirt if Eveld washes out next week against Natti, which is weaker then they appear to be. I also heard that Gunsby was throwing and running circles around BJ's stats during camp.

Between those two, Gunsby.  Gunsby is a guy who could start for us down the road so the experience would be good for him, Eveld would not help the QB situation in the short or long term so I just don't see him as an option at all.
