BUT... on this board the bloggers dried up after mid oct.

down to the base 20 or so die hards and the few jealous gnats.

why is that?

I disagree. I don't think the volume/variety of posts changed much of the course of the season. If anything, losing brings out posters who are nowhere to be found when things are going well.

And please don't refer to this board as a blog. It is a forum.

...couple of things:

1. A *****-fest gets old fast...

2. as football season winds down, so does my interest in

    the goings on of this board (Sorry, gals, I'm just not a big

    hoops fan).  I'd imagine there's probably more interest in

    football - even over a losing season - than you'll find on

    here for hoops. ..

3. The slowness of the board at this point is nothing

   compared to what awaits - I'm guessing - mid February

   forward.

And I'll go with Wooly on this, football gets me going more than basketball.  Don't get me wrong, I went to every game bball game last season but basketball just isn't the same.

And another reason why its so slow...  No football AND there's only a few games during the holidays so not much to talk about.

And yes, it's not a blog, lol.

#1 reason why it is so slow is that the football team went 4-7. I remember when USF went 9-2 that this whole message board was busy. It seemed like the USF fans were hyped up for going to that first bowl game.

Well, said Bully some of us don't post for the sake of posting.  I'm not bad mouthing ANYONE, I enjoy reading everyone's ideas. Except idiot kanigit fans, which all are not.  Happy Holidays!

Agree with Wooly entirely on this one. Don't care much for hoops and wouldn't know enough to hold a coherent conversation about it anyway. As for football, well the season is over, when we were 9-2 there was hope the season would continue so the talk continued and with the hope being the first ever bowl game that would obviously increase the excitement and conversation. Also, as wooly said a ***** fest does get old. Can't say how many posts I started to type and midway through felt so negative just axed it, at that point I just preferred to be silent.

Yes, I read a LOT but I don't post much.  So just b/c people aren't posting, does not mean they are not here.....like me!   ;D
