Both of the Immokalee kids grades are a concern.

I really doubt that Story is restricted from transferring to USF. This, is like my brother's cousins sister spoke to a coach who talked to Muschamp.....There is NO WAY Muschamp would even be talking about the restrictions placed on Story's transfer. Too soon to be worried about whether he can or can't transfer.

According to today's Quick Bits, staff told Story there was no room for him.

From one of the posts on that thread.Ju'Juan is now listed at 6'3" 206#. Another big talented WR wouldn't hurt anything. We could let Tshumbi find a home somewhere else. Love the fact that OSU considers us a rival in recruiting the transfer. A lot different statement than you would have heard 2 short years ago.

Many, many articles mention OSU as the first choice for him. One of the guys at 247 said that they weren't surprised, and that the only reason he ended up at UF (rather than OSU) was that he went there for other players/his friends. The only other school I've seen mentioned was USF, which seems possible. He would likely start after sitting out a year, way too much talent. Big frame, big speed, big playmaker. I hope we get him!

Marshall is likely a slot/flex guy, so he would have to beat out Spencer and Thomas for PT. I could definitely see that happening.

Just another blurb on his intentions

Florida's receiving corps has lost a coach and now a player in preseason practice.

A week after former receivers coach Aubrey Hill resigned, redshirt freshman receiver Ja'Juan Story has decided to transfer.

The 6-foot-3, 206-pound Story was a four-star recruit, according to Rivals.com, coming out of Brooksville Nature Coast.

"Ja'Juan came me to Thursday afternoon and indicated that he wanted to transfer," Florida coach Will Muschamp said. "He just felt like this wasn't a good fit for him and he needed a fresh start. Ja'Juan is a good student and was a good teammate and we wish him the best of luck."

Story is the fifth member of Muschamp's first signing class in 2011 to leave the program. The class featured 19 players. Story joins running back Mike Blakely, tight end A.C. Leonard, receiver Javares McRoy and linebacker Graham Stewart as members of the 2011 class already gone from the program.

"I met with Coach Muschamp Thursday afternoon and told him I wanted to transfer," Story said. "I had a great experience here and met a bunch of great people. It is a great football program with great players and coaches. It just wasn't the right fit for me."

Muschamp had only two months to work on the 2011 class after being hired. Going by Rivals' ratings, of the 11 four-star prospects to sign in that class, only seven remain

No freaking way this kid would start here after sitting out a year. He's way too raw. As far as I know, he has never played a snap at WR in a game. We have way too much talent at WR to waste a scholarship on a player like this. He has talent, but are WR corp is loaded with talent. We need people that are in positions of need, or that could produce instantly when they step on the field.

Go hard after Coley and Stevens, but leave Story alone.

ETA: Oh. I think I misread that and that is a quote from an OSU fan there. No way he would start there either. People are greatly overestimating this kids ceiling.

Any chance he can be converted to safety after sitting out a year. If he has the speed why not pick him up never know what can happen to one of your starters the next two yrs could be a seamless transition if he has to play because someone gets hurt. I say offer him let Johnson go he has no passion for the program...

I have faith in Holtz being able to evaluate talent. I believe he had Story as our #1 recruiting target.

That was before he committed and enrolled at UF. Before we had D'vo and Ruben enroll at USF. Before we had Badet want to be a Bull. Before we started receiving interest from elite WRs like Coley and Stevens. We need scholarships for positions other than WR as well. Florida is and always will be loaded with WR talent. Now that we've had a few big name WRs (and a big name QB) come to our school, I think it will be easier to get them in the future.

Story has talent, but we need WRs that want to be at USF. Story wanted to be at OSU, but felt pressured to go to UF. Why would he be happy and productive here? This kid has never played a snap at WR. Never. Why would we want him when we have elite prospects interested in USF, and a staff full of good to great WRs? He might be productive here, but it's definitely a risk (look at Dunk, who is better than Story, but still isn't having an impact here). I don't think he's worth a scholarship when we have such big needs elsewhere (LB, DB).

Anybody we bring in now will be counted towards our LAST class. So, bringing in Story wouldn't impact the current recruiting class.
