Matt is nowhere near a Flutie or Drew Brees. If Grothe get drafted and stick with a team as a QB. Then Matt should file a law suit against Leavitt and his staff. They cost Matt millions for not coaching him properly.

Flutie was only a heisman in college...

He'll make it to the NFL one day if he wants to bad enough. Hard work and perseverance pay off.

Jeff Garcia was an undrafted 3rd string CFL QB that worked hard and went on to be a 4 time CFL all star and 4 time probowl player in the NFL. They have similar builds and a similar style of play.

If Jamarcus Russel can start in the NFL then Matt can make it if he is determined.

What's your point? It's not the only criteria but the notion going around here is that Flutie had average credentials like Grothe (somewhat) does. Flutie was a Heisman winner and considered a great college player. He went undrafted because of his height only, if he were 6-4 he'd be the first pick in the draft. Grothe's status would be about the same.

MG won't get drafted...a team will however give him a FA invite after Sunday to try him out for another position.

From there...we will see.  I have a feeling he's headed to Canada

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
