I'm not saying to hand out positions to Bulls, but why bother sucking up to them and then passing them? Jenkins and Grothe jump out immediately. I'm not saying Talib or Snead aren't better but if you think other guys could be available that you like more, keep your mouth shut...

Though, it happened to Taylor Mays with Pete Carroll's draft so I suppose it's just business.

You have to take the guy that you feel best fits your football team.

I thought there was a chance the bucs would pick him up for camp.  I think he would sell some preseason tickets. But then get cut.

Just going off the cusp here. Would the spike in ticket sales REALLY be that great to see Matt holding a clipboard?

Let's step it up you think the Bucs drafting say...JPP would have sold that many more tickets?

If the Bucs would have drafted a Bull I would have made it to at least 2 more games than i normally do and my norm is one a year AND I would have bought that player's Buc jersey.

I bet there are hundreds of Bulls fans that have the same line of thought so it's not a stupid idea for the Bucs to appeal to the local community by picking up a Bull. It would make buisness sense. Its not gonna fill up all their empty seats and stop the upcoming TV blackouts but it would still bring people in.

thank goodness teams dont use this formula to draft

Smazza, I second that. J-Ville did the smart thing by not drafting Tebow that high. Maybe if he would have fallen to the 2nd round. Don't draft a player for the wrong reasons.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
