I got an email about this question and figured I would post here...they wanted to wait for swelling to go down in Love's knee until taking the MRI...should be performed sometime today according to USF.

Also, I posted a question on my blog about the spring game attendance...I'd be interested to hear some answers if you guys have opinions...I sort of expected a crowd of at least 10,000, but maybe I was simply off in my guestimate...take care

The team confirmed via Twitter tonight that Love tore his ACL. He's almost certainly out for the season. Hopefully that guy from NC State can transfer in without issue in the fall. I feel so terrible for Love, he's worked really hard in his time here I think.

"Touchdown USF! Grothe right on the money to A.J. Love!" One of my favorite calls of a USF play.

That sucks. Can he still get another season? Did he redshirt his Freshman year? I would think he would get a 6th season regardless right?

Hope he gets to play a senior season.

You have to have a medical reason for both redshirts to get a 6th year.  However, he should be able to return for 3-5 games plus the bowl game.
