Flutie was A GREAT Hall of Fame college QB. Grothe was no way near the college QB Flutie was. You can't compare height. Flutie is 1inch shorter then Matt. But Flutie was whole lot more accurate then Matt. But I do hope he gets his chance in the CFL.

Say what you will about Grothe and his td/int ratio, but he put the program on the map. You can't deny that.

Matt set the bar pretty high here. Turned the program around imo.

Well, I wish it really was a total joke, but it's not. I wish him all the luck in the world and just like CJL - the fans owe a great deal to Grothe. But, IMHO he's not going to ever going to make it in the next level. There are way better QB's than him that have failed miserably in the NFL and many of them weren't coming off serious injuries.

Grothe is the best!  It was pretty awesome to see him out running again.  I will miss him being on the field and I hope he continues to tear it up at the next level (wherever that may be).
