I can see where some who financially support USF could possibly have a problem with it ... not sure why you brought it up, though.

Or they could have a problem with USF handling the situation in such a way that the university found itself paying millions to two different coaches, if that's the way the verdict goes.

It's interesting - and by interesting, I of course mean totally predictable - that smazza pretends to feel sorry for Joel Miller and refers to him as a "victim," but then says Leavitt is an enemy for pursuing money to which he thinks he is entitled. If the university mishandled the case and didn't give Leavitt his due process, then Leavitt's a "victim," right?

I know, I know - I'm looking for logic and such in all the wrong places.

leavitt supporters will want to honor him at some point so this issue will definitely come up

if leavitt's lawyers trash athletic dept and or administration this will come up

this will be a hot topic

proleavitt people are understandedly keeping low profile

I believe that the university hopes that one day, people will no longer remember his name, with Skip being the one that takes the team to great glory and being remembered as USF's greatest coach.

I don't really believe the University hopes that, only some ungrateful assclowns would want that .... Personally, I certainly hope that someone besides Leavitt is remembered

as USF's greatest coach because for all CJL did do for the program, there are many, greater things that haven't been accomplished yet .... but he should never be forgotten.

it would be terrible for USF/Leavitt to get in a violent lawsuit...

i really think USF will break off all relations with CJL and never recognize him if it gets bad...

my hopes are that they pay the man something small so he can move onto his next job and do it all behind the scenes.
