Disappointed by the turn out... but more subs for me

Fun topics:

- Mentioned about uniforms... using white helmets more often (players like them)

- Also mentioned about using all white uniforms.  And having gold pants to match the helmets.

- NO BLACK UNIFORMS... as it's not our school color

- Doesn't want to spend time on uniforms... but wants to establish a tradition... Doesn't want all sorts of alternate styles

- Also believes in having an on-campus stadium

Really stressed about not recruiting JUCO players.  Only as a last resort.. as it's only a temp fix as it leads to needing more JUCO's.

Wants to balance out recruiting classes to an average of 18 each year... to balance out classes

Better fitness, nutrition, and academics.. Helps prevent our mid-season slump

Praised Leavitt and his accomplishments

Does know Florida game is huge... but wants to focus on Big East games

Stressed about focus on players, their academics, and social skills.

Wants to open up program more to public.

Seems really focused as a coach... got a VERY positive and encouraging impression

Huge comment by Coach Holtz. BJ will NOT have any called running plays, that's why we have running backs. Spoke of getting Lamar to the outside in space. Players very excited when he told them that Mo got a 6th year.

wish i could have gone to this....did anyone mention changing the black sticker on our helmet?? haha.....o and can someone elaborate more on the on campus stadium comment our was basically all he said was that he supports it?

Also pretty excited that he said some practices and scrimmages will be open to the public. Just another benefit of Stonewall Leavitt being out...

He must have read that on Twitter from @usffootball, who retweeted @TBO_USF_Bulls which said: "I don't want him to run as much as he has." Holtz on QB B.J. Daniels. "He won't have any called runs."
