On Friday, the Bulls will get an unofficial visit from Donald Bowens, a St. Petersburg High graduate and former N.C. State receiver who will graduate from NCSU this spring and is interesting in playing his final season at USF."I want to play at USF. I'd love to be at home for my final college season," said Bowens, who missed the 2008 season and the start of 2009 with knee and lower-back injuries. "I've played against Skip Holtz and I know he's a good coach. I've always liked USF, ever since I was recruited there by Coach (Jim) Leavitt."Bowens, 6-foot-3 and 195 pounds, said USF is the only Division I-A school he's considering -- he's also talked to Division II North Alabama, where Terry Bowden is the coach. In 2007, he led N.C. State with 41 catches for 598 yards and three touchdowns, including an 11-catch, 202-yard, two-touchdown game against Virginia. Last season, he had 12 catches for 175 yards and one score.Bowens, 22, has only one year of eligibility, but would give the Bulls another proven receiver with size and speed, helping offset the loss of junior Carlton Mitchell, an early entry into the NFL Draft. He said he's fully recovered from his injuries and is looking forward to meeting Holtz this weekend. The coach should remember him well -- facing Holtz's East Carolina team in 2007, he caught five passes for 93 yards in N.C. State's 34-20 win.http://blogs.tampabay.com/usf/2010/02/wolfpack-wr-bowens-seeks-transfer-to-usf.html#comments

He's a legit transfer not just one that wasn't happy where he was or didn't get play time.
