What's Next?

So just what exactly can USF fans expect to see when their 2010 Bulls take the field for the first time under Holtz? Well not even Holtz himself knows that yet. According to TampaBay.com, "Holtz has said he doesn't know yet what kind of offense or defense he will run at USF, and that he wants to evaluate the talent on his roster and find an offense that best matches the Bulls' strengths."

Hard to really say he's "ready" to take USF to the next level.  It's a nice opinion piece, but in no way lays out any plans to take USF to next level.  I guess some should consider at least waiting until Holtz has a chance to evaluate talent on the roster before vindicating one's self with another's opinon or forming such an opinion itself..

Personally, that is one of my biggest problems with coaching today. I feel a good coach will use his assets to their best ability. I almost think every year should be like that although you have to have somewhat of a model to go off of. Also it creates open competition and who knows who might stand out and find a tweaker for a D-end and can utilize him. Running some 3-4 and switching it up to confuse the opposing teams. Just like teams are doing with the wildcat now. If you are a good coach you will figure a way out to use what you have available. Especially with the talent we have on this team, we should be dominating some of these teams, besides D-1AA. I hope he is more inventive like Brian Kelly was at Cinci and develops some creative packages for our players.
