so you're saying he would get a raise:

Heck I'd take Spurrier jr. as our OC... all we need now is Shula jr. and we'd have a day care center for ole ball coaches.

BTW, I also heard this rumor just now on CBS Sports Radio...

we i guess when you take state income tax into consideration then yes it would be a take home pay raise.

i still dont see him leaving his dad though.

Remember that Skip is likely getting less than Leavitt and if USF wanted him bad enough maybe they gave him an increase over Leavitt in coaching budget.

But let's say that Skip is getting $1.2M, a hefty raise for him.  That's $400K less than Leavitt.  So couldn't he give the OC $400K?  If he did then then he'd still have that $200K lying around.  And if he's making less, like $1M even (still a big raise for him) then that's an extra $600K.

And if he wins us the Big East then I can guarantee that budget will go up.

Also worth nothing that Spurrier Jr. has Florida recruiting experience.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
