I am not a fan of Sumlin. I would prefer a defensive minded coach like McCarney over an offensive minded coach. I cant stand shoot outs. Sumlin lost to UCF last season, so that should be case closed on that candidate.

I can only hope that Canales does not share Leavitt's loyalty to a couple of the assistants and also that if hired Canales would get a huge assistant pool as he should be a bargain.

I don't like the idea of Canales.  I really don't.  But if we keep the same defensive staff and upgrade a couple of the offensive assistants the team can get better with him.

it's mere a courtesy -- let's not go nuts over it.

if they somehow hire him at bargain basement prices, perhaps we have underestimated the hit the economy has had on our program in general/donation wise
