A recent SEC National Title winning coach inquired.

It's a great job, that is obvious to the football world.

Who would that be?

I would guess Kirby Smart

I believe I heard it was the old Tenn coach.

Fulmer is also interested. So we have 2 that fit.

I would consider mccarney. He made selvie what it was. He is recruiting for uf right now. Familiar with the program. He should be the baseline. Go up from there.

Magee and Michigan have had 2 straight losing seasons, which is unprecedented for them. Rich Rod is always mentioned as possibly being fired!

Magee may bring Rod Smith with him, which should DISQUALIFY him automatically.

My main negative for McCarney is that I don't see him long term.

Magee is younger, has ties here. BULLieve he still recruits Florida.

How come the list of potential coaches is pathetic?

I will accept NOTHING LESS than Tuberville, Skip Holtz or an excellent young assistant like Kirby Smart.

If the USF Administration was PROACTIVE, we could have hired Charlie Strong, an excellent coach from the GATORS.

Quit wasting my time with not ready for prime time coaches like Calvin Magee, Lawrence Dawsey, Doug Williams...COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!

There was no vacancy at the time Strong was hired away from UF.  USF couldn't fire CJL with cause without doing the due diligence of the investigation.  If they fired him and had to pay his buyout, they could only afford guys like me who know nothing about coaching.

USF Administration knew the results of the investigation before it was even started. They were just covering their asses.

The inefficiency of the investigation and how it has dragged on has screwed us. Our recruiting class will SUCK.

What, 10 years is not enough.  Besides, if the next coach is as successful as we all hope he is, if its not someone like McC, he'll be gone in 5-6 years.
