I just hope that Leavitt resigns and we dont have to pay the buyout, then we can hire a coach that deserves to be the highest paid coach in the Big East.

If this is true, we are screwed!  Who would we get? It's a little late to go after any top potential replacements for a head coach.  All the highly touted ones are gone or have now been locked up to long term deals.  We'll get stuck with some B rated or the nice "interim" coach for next season, that will help this program.

Plus all the recruits, this year and last year are gone.  No one will stick around to have someone rebuild the program or to have to put up with this drama.

If the investigation has found something legitimate, then they need to act now!!  Start cleaning up the mess and move on, other wise this is only going to get worse

we already have some B rated coach

B rated...feeling generous today.  Must be the holiday season.

Oh man

What if the new coach wants an OCS.

That'll be great!

If the worst case scenario occurs, we will have to look for a new head coach.  I've compiled some names to consider:

- BYU's Bronco Mendenhall (49-15 in 5 years at BYU)

- Utah's Kyle Whittingham (46-17 in 5 years at Utah)

- Boise State's Chris Petersen (47-4 in 4 years at Boise, 2-time BCS bowl appearances)

- East Carolina's Skip Holtz (led ECU to 08 and 09 CUSA titles, conference runner up in 06 and 07)

Bronco and Chris will not happen. Ever. Dan McCarney at UF. Selvie's ex D-line coach. The guy who made Selvie a millionire. And now blew it all away.

We should go for coordinators instead of some of these coaches.

Find the top ranking offenses and defenses in the country statistically and interview the coordinators that handled them for our head coaching position.

Of course, thats if Leavitt is indeed gone.

Well on that note, maybe consider:

- **** Bumpas (TCU - DC)

- Everett Withers (UNC - DC)

- Justin Wilcox (Boise - DC)

Without even knowing what this thread means, if it comes down to it, this is also my choice. Prior HC experience in a major conference, knows the program, knows Florida, and has spent the last two years under arguably the best there is.

Just my two cents.
