Why do these guys talk about committing with us but do not take visits?

Most of our recruits are from Florida and some feel they can take an unofficial visit to USF and learn what they need to know to make a decision and save an official visit for a school out of state.

No official visit = not a Bull.

USF appears to be front runner for Wilson

Chris Dell

A lot of big-time college football institutions are chasing Torrian Wilson, but it appears USF is the front runner.

A few thoughts:

--I caught up with former UM commit Todd Chandler during practices for the Under Armour All-American game in Orlando. Chandler, who has since switched to South Florida, made a point to say the Hurricanes never pulled his offer.

"I didn't hear it come out of a UM coach's mouth or it didn't ever come out of my mouth," Chandler said. "That was just people talking... I was their first and longest commit. It was just crazy to me how people do talk and what they talk about."

Chandler says he may have interest in UM, but it's doubtful, especially considering he said secondary coach Wesely McGriff suggested he remain committed but keep other options open.

--One player the Hurricanes can probably cross of the list is Chandler's teammate, guard Torrian Wilson. He has dropped Stanford, but said UM "is still talking to me but not at the top." Wilson is expected to decide between USF, Tennessee and Michigan.

The rivals article is pretty much the same as what you just posted.

Coach Scott seems to be doing a great job in that area of the state.

Thanks.

I agree. Coach Scott has been doing an oustanding job recruiting there over the past few years. Recruits always seem to mention their great relationship with him.
