He was at the VaTech football game enjoying the evening off before they have their first game against Loyola, MD tomorrow. He said they're pretty injured and beat up right now from practice. Said both us and they have an uphill battle this season in our conferences. For those who care, he wished us well. We kept it short and sweet... but he gave a shout out to his favorite message board.

I am pulling for Seth and Va Tech to make a statement in the ACC this year.

Good luck Seth!!! And if you are reading this board. Thanks for your efforts here at USF. You did get USF some national attention by getting on ESPN many times while you were coaching here. Also, thanks for talking up  USF hoops everytime you were on the JIM ROME show. All was not lost as some may have said because we got in the BIG EAST!!! How ironic is that???

I hope VT looses every ACC game by 20+ points.  Seth won't last 3 years in the ACC.

Did Seth get fired here or did he choose to leave?  I care as much about what Seth Greenberg says/does than what Charlie Jackson orders from McDonald's on a late night munchie trip!

Can anyone post the career coaching records of all of our past coaches?   I think  that he has been our only coach in CUSA, the toughest league we've ever played in (did Paschal coach our 1st year in CUSA?).  However I'd be willing to bet he is right up there as the second winningest coach in our storied history.

1972-1974 Don Williams 33-42 ( .440 )

1975           Bill Gibson  15-10  ( .600 )

1976-1980  Chip Loner  59-62  ( .488 )

1981-1986  Lee Rose  106-69  ( .606 )

1987-1996  Bobby Paschal  127-159  ( .444 )

1997-2003  Seth Greenburg  108-100  ( .519 )

Bobby Paschal was our winningest (and losingest) coach and Lee Rose had the best winning percentage.

So Seth was #2 in total wins and #2 in winning pct.  (I don't count Gibson, only 25 games).  Not bad for a guy who brought this program into a very tough CUSA.  He has 19 less wins in 3 less seasons than Paschal.  From the way people speak of the guy in the community, you would have thought he was the worst coach we've ever had.

I have very fond memories of the Lee Rose era.  SunDome was brand new and students had almost the entire first level - called the Rose Garden.  Consistently drew 6,000 - 7,000 I believe.  We kicked butt every year in the Florida Four tournaments against UF, FSU and Jacksonville.
