I was thinking about what the final listings for ESPN were for 9/26 and I guess I see it from their viewpoint but I still question why we got such a weak timeslot and network. Here is the listings.

USF V FSU 12PM ESPNU

PITT V NC State 3:30PM ESPNU

Illoinois V Ohio State 3:30 ABC

Miami V Va Tech 3:30 ABC

California V Oregon 3:30 ABC

BCC V Norfolk State 4PM ESPNU

Florida V Kentucky 6PM ESPN2

Arizona State V Georgia 7PM ESPNU

Iowa V Penn State 8PM ABC

Notre Dame V Purdue 8PM ESPN

Texas Tech V Houston 9:15 PM ESPN2

I guess the only game I guess I would switch out would be Pitt versus NC State or the crappy game at 4pm with BCC but I bet there is some tie in already with the small conferences.

I think we were just unfortunate that ESPN had a nice slate of games to choose from and they assumed FSU would be 1-2.

3:30 slot is strong with Miami and VT. 8pm would have been a good option.

Maybe the TV execs are thinking FSU will be 1-2.

Looks like we have Houston to thank for this slot!

Had they lost to Ok State, I don't think they get that 9:15 (8:15 local time) slot on ESPN 2

I've seen this overlap in ESPN's listings before. I'm just guessing but I think one of those games, probably BCC Norfolk State ends up live on ESPN Classic. They never mention ESPN Classic in their listings. I also found it peculiar that the ESPN listings did not show anything on ESPN or ESPN2 at noon.

Sorry guys, IMO the only draw for this game is it's the first time that we've met. At this time, niether team is ranked, if we beat CSU then we will be 3-0 with 2 of those coming against FCS teams, and the other against a weak FBS team. FSU will most likely be 1-2 with their only win vs an FCS team. Our team is important to us, but at this time, I doon't think that the general college football fan gives a hoot about the game.

OK, let the bashing begin.
