Like I have said before I don't mind 2 backs. What messes with me to no end is the 5 back system that USF has employed recently. That is not a recipe for success.

Recently? You mean since Hall graduated and we haven't had a healthy group of backs ?

Ford got the bulk of the carries, but was hampered with injuries ... as with the others.

Franks will be giving the bulk of the carries to the best back ... the '5 back system' was by default.

Go BULLS !!!

Well, with Battles moving to Safety for now, that pretty much leaves to 4 backs MAX.  I wanna see what Murray does.  But this unit is dangerous when healthy.

As for the two-back system... I think it's pure genius.  But the Giants went with 3 backs all season... Earth, Wind, and Fire.  Ford: Earth...  Plancher: Wind... Taylor: Fire.

Battles was moved back to the offense... so disregard my comment on that

Without Battles we would have 7... not 4 MAX...

Ford, Taylor, Plancher, Murray, Miller, Samuels, Kelly(RB/FB),

Battles makes 8

I thought Samuels was moved to receiver.  Kelly isn't really a running-back.  And I don't see Miller getting a lot of carries.

I guess it's 5 but my point is that using 3 backs won't be a bad thing.

Battles is redshirting.

Really, it's between Ford, Taylor, and Plancher.  Lamar will be a change of pace guy and I wouldn't be surprised if he goes out wide more than the other backs.  Kelly is a FB.  I hope he plays the role that Owen Schmidt did for WVU

I think those 5 will play and I predict Ford will get the most carries but all will contribute.  Remember that Taylor also works on kick coverage.
