people are ridiculous. leavitt has introduced USF to the nation through an increasingly prominent football program. He has drawn a vocal and excited student body and created university pride. He has, in 13 years, built USF football.

13 years ago if you said "in 13 years we better be at the top of a BCS conference" EVERYONE here would admit that is a huge stretch. how quickly people forget.

If no conference championship comes, people will look back and say he hit a plateau, and took the program as far as he could, which is pretty **** far. he will never be a failure and i think we all owe him and the entire football program a little more respect.

Ditto...

CJL has taken our program from nothing to a BCS Conference caliber team in a fraction of the time that it took other programs to do... we will get better and will over come this "speed bumb" that is holding us back.

So, what's the question?  Will he ever be?  or  Has he ever been?

I still think the answer is, yes.  If USF fails.

Will USF fail? NO.

Yes, he will.  By next year everyone on roster will be a BCS recruit and that is when depth is no longer an excuse IMO.

The program is now stable vs changing conference or divisions every few years.

It is time for him to coach em up.  The fan support is not great but everything about the program is on par with our conference foes.  Time to win soon.

If he does not win a big east championship in the next three years he should be held accountable. The occasional upset and big win are no longer good enough. USF needs to move to the next level on the field.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
