On one side, we have the highest exposure of the Big East. We ranked high at the beginning of the last two seasons only to watch it fall away. We have won large notable games, while being seen as the underdog.Everyone is looking to us to dominate. We are most aggressive, have high profile conference players, and by the paper should be the new Miami of the Big East. The other side of this is that we are STILL a young program. We have a coach that this is still his first head coaching position. We have not built the jugernaut recruiting system, and we have not won the big game yet to honestly position us as the top dog in the conference. This season should be pivotal in either putting us at the top, or squashing that image for a while. They'd were #2 and would have played for the Nat'l Championship if they didn't lose to Pitt.
